Chain Link Fence

A chain – link fence or wire – netting is a type of woven fence, usually made from galvanized or PVC – coated steel wire, the wires run vertically and bent into a zig zag pattern, this forms a characteristic diamond pattern seen in such type of fence.

The popularity of chain link fence is due to their relatively low and ease of insulation, a further advantage is that due to one open weave, chain link fences are transparent and don’t obscure sunlight or vision from either side of the fence, and here are some of the applications:

The fencing post and accessories enlisted as below forms the backbone of quality fencing system, these are selected and designed specially to suit and stand to the customer requirement and specification:

  • Tens wire : G.I. or PVC coated G.I. wire conforming to BS – 4102.
  • Sports & play areas.
  • Stirrup wire : 2.0mm G.I. or 1.8/2.6mm PVC coated wires in diameter
  • Stretcher bar : galvanized and / or epoxy coated 25*5 mm flat bars.
  • Turn buckle : these are galvanized straining devises used in M6 or M8.
  • Line posts : these are made from BS – 4360 and BS4 standard equal angles having flange size 40* 40, 50* 50, 65* 65 and 75* 75 or form galvanized hollow section as per BS – 1387 having outer diameter of 48.3, 60.3, 76.1, 88.9 and 114.3, the selection of which depends upon the type and the height of the fencing.
  • Strainer, corner and end posts (tension posts): these are made from standard equal angles of flange sizes 50*50, 65*65,75*75 and 100*100 or form galvanized hollow section as per BS – 1387 having outer diameter of 48.3, 60.3, 76.1, 88.9 and 114.3, the selection of which depends upon the type and the height of the fencing.
  • Support braces: two braces along the fence are run bolted in each side of the strainer posts which are made up of angles or galvanized circular hollow sections.
